1. Passion for Edutainment
I developed Domains of Transcendence because I love the concept of playing while learning. Progression games have always been a genre I deeply enjoy, and came to me the idea of joining two things together: a progression game and scientific information.
My motivation was to join a progression loop with scientific discovery — creating an experience where every milestone unlocks concepts from theoretical physics, subatomic theory, superstring harmonics, and multiversal science, with as much as possible scientific accuracy, and visual support. In fact, there can be incorrect titles, descriptions and associations which, when identified, may be corrected, replaced or removed in posterior updates.
2. Science & Family
My children attend music school, and classical music is a constant presence in our house. I wanted to give them a special treat, providing something they love to hear while playing with science and scientific knowledge. And, at the same time, i could practice new technologies.
Only later, given their positive feedback and encouragement to publish it, i decided to publish the game.
3. Curated Science & Visual Support ( AI disclosure )
The game was originally intended as a learning project of a progression game to my kids, developed on my spare times and weekend days. To bring the visual supports to life, I utilized AI image and video generation tools.
I recognize that AI art is a point of strong discussion among players. I want to be completely open and transparent about it: AI was used as a bridge to realize a vision that would otherwise be impossible for a solo developer with no intention of publishing it in the first place. But this bridge has its toll: it affects, and sometimes compromises, the scientific and logical accuracy, as well as the visual and narrative coherence.
So, it shouldn't come as a surprise to see misspellings, grammatical errors, scientific inaccuracies, image and video inconsistencies and other imperfections in the game. I'll do my best to fix them, even gradually replacing images and videos with handcrafted artwork, but... it may take time.
Nevertheless, every single generator video, upgrade image, and graphic asset was curated one by one, aiming to be as faithful to real-world science and theoretical physics as possible. The goal was to ensure that every visual element deliver an interpretation of the scientific principles it represents.
